"Beach Cove" 11x11 Digital Original Print

My First Digital Original

April 1, 2016

I created Beach Cove because I wanted to prove that it was possible to produce a digital painting that was of the same detail and quality as some traditional mediums.

Two years in the making it has been a long journey to find and build the right tools to get the right effects that mimic my traditional mediums. I had to scan my own brush strokes, and pastel marks to create realistic brushes in Photoshop using tools like Adobe Capture that lets you bring in color pallets, and b...rushes from the real world photos. I was able to bring in all of my real word elements into this digital work. The colors are the exact colors I use in my current traditional pallet, and the marks/strokes are derived from my real world motion and application. I tried to bring in everything I could including my layering process to get as close as I could to my physical work as possible.

Beach cove is truly a unique original painting that took two years to create. I think this work is the beginning of something new and interesting for me. A true digital original process that produces something beautiful, that's worthy of any wall space.
